April 20Resource Open House @ Community Living Services. Thursday, April 20th, 9:30am – 12-30pm & 5:30pm – 8:30pm. CLS invites parents/caregivers to attend and learn more about resources that are available to them, especially parents that have students transitioning out of school soon. Autism will be a special focus in both morning and evening sessions. There will be a Parent/Sibling panel discussion moderated by State Rep. Frank Liberti at 6:00pm.

April 27 – “After I’m Gone” Program. Topic: Home and Community Based Services. Speaker Angela Martin – Wayne State University Developmental Disabilities Institute and sibling, will discuss the Home and Community Based Waiver’s Final Rule. The Waiver aims to improve the experiences of people receiving Mental Health services by helping them access a more integrated community. Speaker Christy Jane Courtney will discuss how to use Medicaid services to be more productive, to be more independent, and to lead a meaningful life in the community.
